Frank,
This day's trading wasn't caused by what was posted on SI, it's the market. Post the name of the brokerage who told you that so we can all roll on the floor laughing. I sold DELL two days ago at 108 1/4 not because of what I read on SI but because the market told me it was coming down. "Long term investor" is an excuse for holding a losing position, suck it up and dump that loser or take a profit and reposition after the pullback. Or you could follow the recommendations of a broker at Merrill Lynch and averge down, NOT.

I know that MMs read SI and other boards to steal money from the investor on penny stocks, but it would surprise me if they could orchestrate a move on a stock like AOL that trades 15M shares on the big board. But I do see evidence of orchestration in program selling. Tuesday at 3:00 PM a sell program kicked in, and tech stocks both on the NYSE and NAZ began tanking right at that time. Today the same thing happened, but it started at 2:30 PM. I have heard that these sell programs use indicators such as S&P future activities and advance/decline ratios to determine when to kick in, but maybe they also use the SI posting mood :-)
