Michael, You have a lot of valid questions, i'm sure your not alone. Being a computer idiot myself i will not try to define or explain any of your technical questions. I will say that i had a little trouble getting up and running as well. I am running a P333 with a 56K modem. and found that using the 28.8 selection for viewing the netcast works best for me. If i'm not mistaken it's my web service provider's hardware that is "slowing" me down. Real Player has a nice tutorial in the help window, perhaps you might want to check it out. Remember this is "cutting edge technology" we're going to have to put up with a few minor "flaws" - if ole' Ampex had created this technology they would probably still have it on "the bench" and we would not be having this discussion, but thats another discussion - The revenue side i think is quite compelling. One example that comes to my mind - I live on the east coast, Ampex has their annual meeting on the west coast. If i were to attend in person probably cost close to if not over $1,000.00, figure airfare, hotel, meals, loss time, etc. I'm am a cheap prick and hate parting with my dough but, I would pay, lets say, $25 to see it e-casted live with a Q&A. -the Q&A part is done just like we chat here. there is a space provided below the viewing screen were you type in your question and it is read by the host. - This was done during the live news release announcing the Ampex investment - for lack of a better term, "way cool" check out the link jubimer posted. Watch and listened to the interview with Dave Gardy. He presents some interesting and valid thoughts and ideas, etc. One revenue "stream" and would guess the biggest from the start, will be from corporate America, PR Newswire's "Business Uncut Channel" looks especially exciting. I have notice two recognizable banner ads on the TV onthe WEB site, pac bell & wells fargo, I would anticipate more to follow. yes, there is competition. remember JMHO, digger
