I just saw in the paper, some guy who was executed, claimed at his trial that his girlfriend set him up to kill her husband to get the insurance money, but they were never able to convict the girlfriend. When he was executed, he claimed to be innocent. I wondered how he could maintain simultaneously that, while he did it, he was set up, and that he was innocent. I thought his arguments were paradigmatic of the mindset of the career criminal.

Ish,

There are many innocent people in prison. It is not a laughing matter -- especially if you are on Death Row.
