Michael,Barb,Bill…

I am still short ZITL, it is still my biggest short and potential (until I cover) biggest short gain ever. However, I think we (or maybe just me) might be missing something regarding Z.

Many of us keep talking about their lack of Y2K business, no contracts, it all ends on Jan 1, etc. In my opinion, ZITL is no longer a Y2K company, (in fact has never been one based upon revenues) rather they have become a Data Storage SW company via Datametrics. BTW, based upon past management experience I do not expect any more success from that operation than Z as a Y2K company.

Their last “earnings” report showed something like $4M in revenue and we know that it did not come from Y2K business. Now looking at their recent additions to their Board of Directors who have Internet backgrounds and good ole Jack getting another $5M of financing (diluting the stockholders more of course but that is just another story) I suspect that we will see another announcement that is Internet SW related and it indeed will jump up over 5 again.

I really value you three as pros. Is this assessment realistic and should I take my profits and run now and wait for another shot at the Z over 5?

Thanks
