Val - "inside information" implies that the information was obtained from someone who actually works for one of the companies involved. Even John Liviakis is considered to be an "insider" so he could get into big trouble if he leaked specific details of something he knew in advance of public release.

Information obtained by research through channels is not considered to be inside information. Figuring something out and then confronting the company involved only to get a "we can't comment on that" instead of a "I'm not aware of any involvement" is quite legal too.

Can you not accept the fact that I know at least one or more people at S3, Intel, SBC, AT&T, Lucent, Diamond Multimedia, Seagate, World Com, Cisco, Compaq & IBM?

I suppose the next thing you'll want is names - well, I don't think they'd appreciate having them published and this ain't The National Enquirer.
