Of course, you do realize that, if you were consistent, you would also oppose abortion, because it is possible that abortion is murder, and the potential evil outweighs the potential good.

You cannot violate the recognized rights of an individual (in this case the woman's right to her own body) based on an assumptive right which remains unproven. The "rights" of an unborn child are currently a matter of speculation. If one is to err, it must be on the side of the individual whose rights are already recognized.

For your penance you may now read Chapters 4. and 5. of Lady Chatterly's Lover -- backwards.
