If not, your timing is uncanny!!

I haven't done any PM cloning yet, but DI seems to reboot at the close of any series of operations. You seem to indicate doing one operation at a time with its own reboot to be the prudent thing to do. I would not give you an argument against that after reading your story.

I'm really sorry to here of your ordeal, but glad you can just reinstall without any loss data. The lesson here for all of us, obviously, is to procede with caution when messing with your hdd.

a couple more times, try formatting again and voila..she works.


Pays to be persistant, uh?

Were these cold boots? Do you think the effected drive parameters were reset during reboots finally allowing you to reformat?
