Ala has given those companies access to their chip...ADSL is not analog modems, it fairly difficult tech, ask TXN....Just remember it is always the customer(BEL) who calls the shots and BEL will never make anybody exclusive even if the PR says so...Which means down the road their might be other ADSL modems suppliers, just like LU will win some of BEL CO business from ALA...The point being is it will be a big volume order from a the biggest major TElco for the forseable future..WE know BEL liked WSTL CAP but this will say alot for WSTL DMT...ALAs chip is interoperble, eventually all DMT will be interoperable....When volume starts in ADSL there will be plenty of business for everybody and when pricing is almost the same Between Ilec/LD/CLec, it will be product quality that will make the difference to the consumer
