Bruno,

I was most impressed by some of the original Casio digital camera offerings. They had impressive speed with the ability to shoot pictures with a one second delay or less (640x489 resolution) compared to Mavica which required 13 seconds.

I think that Casio has worked closely with LSI Logic with their single chip solution called DCAM-101. The QV-5000 and QV-7000 apparently use this chip. Also, the Minolta 1500 Dimage uses this processor.

As single chip solutions make inroads into the digital camera market we will see 2.0 megapixel and above cameras in a very affordable price range. Companies like LSII will make this possible. (I kick myself for not investing last fall after reading their annual report).

Again, CF and MMC will become the unifying currencies for removable storage. You just have to be a believer in mobile computing.
