Doug,
You've got it....

What was important to see is the way older fork tines [especially the
middle tine] projects into the future and creates a "moment" in time & price.
To see how forks set-up each other up....how the middle tine acts with
a cross-over tine and showing tradeable developements.
You don't always see the cross over....that is not always present.

This same type of visual fork formation can also be seen when GZ picked
the bottom in Oct.....actually it can be seen in most all market moves
Up or Down in some form.

5 Minute chart:
The SPX turned up at the close and created a new spread....Correct and the
Low around 1:15 2/5 is a new M-tine. That middle tine projects into the
future 2/8 at about 1242 and rising throughout the day. That middle tine
will attracked and effect the market....but it is a 1 day fork and not
very powerful.
This new fork also has a time projection for 9:55.
Do you see it?

.
15 minute chart:
You got it Doug....
The maket is following (2/1) it's upper tine.
Going further out there are other charts as in the 30m-60m and Daily
which will produce other forks.

I believe GZ would say.....you now have the Basics.
From here it is learning to see some subtlties on how to read the tines,
how to use them to control losses to ride winners and enter and exit trades
using their signals.

This particular formation from 1/4 with its' entire sequence is a beautiful
series of pitchforks and a beautiful example of how they work off each other.
I'm in Love this sequence....it has great character.

How this 1/4 fork is to be resolved or broken will be very interesting.....
