Brian, I agree with your point about the common occurrence of divergence. But I'm not using that as a sole indicator, except to say that the broader market has clearly not participated in this rally... If it had, then the a/d would be higher. Looking at the a/d characteristics is much like looking at an x-ray, the looker has to know what to look for along with other factors. I could easily be wrong, but what I'm looking at is the way the a/d ratio has been accelerating into negative territory simultaneously with the chart break down of several major groups. GZ
