FWIW, I trade with NDB and have NO complaints. Their executions are excellent and usually occur within 20 seconds of submitting my order. In over four years of very active trading using NDB, I have NEVER encountered a single down period, and have always been able to reach NDB by phone if their website gets bogged down. In the hundreds (maybe thousands) of my trades with them, I have questioned no more than a handful of their executions, and I have always been satisfied with the result (either the trade is fixed or the explanation is more than reasonable). I don't know why NDB doesn't get better billing on the threads. Just my experience. Not trying to disagree with anyone here. I just think NDB doesn't belong on the title of this thread.

Mama Bear:

I agree that having that option would be nice, I don't think offically Etrade allows you to trade without the funds available however.

My problem was this position was established due to system errors (multiple executations, etc.) and I was never even contacted or given options. The position was simply covered by there margin dept. AT MARKET which means I paid about 1 buck more per share then I should have. (i.e. ten minutes after the Etrade forced but the stock was trading 2.5 points lower.)

Thanks for the info. however.
