So Delbert, Under your rules and conditions, as long as the body of the baby is inside the mother, she can give the go-ahead for a "doctor" to stab the cranium with a scissors and suck out the brain? What if the baby is only half-way out? What if its just a big toe left? It's not a person yet? I know this is an extreme example, but I really would like to know if you think there is such an absolute line to draw. T.A.

The fetuses are alive and healthy. I am not arguing that women who would abort at this late stage would make real good mothers for these children, but to me it really makes our society a more savage one because we make it legal to murder babies this way. It would really be much less painful for the fetus if it had a chance to be born and adopted. This was a pretty common circumstance until recently, and I don't understand why it couldn't be again. In fact, the liberal Democratic position on this issue makes me wonder sometimes whether I really want to be a liberal Democrat. I am not getting conservative, really, but their plank on this issue just really makes me sick.
