Humbly report, All, you have convinced me - the insatiable thwarted hunger to trade vented in hysterical anger on this and other threads for over three straight days and nights clearly screams that many, many folks are just dying to plop down $20+$20 to trade, all day long, every second of the market day.

OK, OK, I give up, I'll get some EGRP, already.

Cheers,

Svejk

DD,

I'm assuming you still have a trading account with E*Trade, you stated during one of your earlier post that you are transferring your account to Datek, have you started that maneuver. Not saying that E*Trade does not have problems, it does. Several weeks ago I was told by a fellow worker that trades with Waterhouse (the second largest e-broker) about a day failure in their system, in fact he could not reach his broker at all by phone, much less a several hour wait. Point is, I stay with E*Trade because it has the LEAST NUMBER of problems, compared to other e-brokers like AMTD and/or Datek.

I chose E*Trade because of their research, easy trading, alert notice, fast executions, ect, ect. And yes, fast executions. Maybe I have been luck or maybe I have one hell of a computer. BTW, whatever e-broker you go with, read their BB, makes E*Trade sound like a saint. italiana

I find Ameritrades ads very misleading and I am sure they have brought
big time trouble down on their own heads.
I guess we sort of expected something would hit these stocks and it
turned out to be their own inability to perform to their own ad
standards. To me, that is where the law suits will hit them hard. A
lot of people , I mean a lot, have been hurt by their inability to
deliver the kind of performance they advertise. Like any business
they have an obligation to be truthful and to disclose any pertinent
information that would affect an investors ability to use their
service to help him effect trades in a timely manner.

I feel they are extremely vulnerable and will have to pay off big
time when it is all said and done they will have to either find the
technology to meet their advertising claims or limit their base by
charging more and putting it into better technology. Either way it
will impact their ability to make a profit in the forseeable future and then they will soon face an avalanche of new competition. I
believe the party is over for now as I said before. gil

DD--after your 60+ largely repetitive posts trashing E*Trade, I don't think there's a single SI member who needs or desires any further expansion of your already exhaustively-expressed point of view.

I would welcome hearing when your transfer to Datek goes through, however, as it will be no small cause of celebration to those many of us who would like to return to discussion of the STOCK, rather than the SERVICE.

Thank you.
