The only thing I can think of that could be positive is that Endiama/Goverment wants to include Diamondworks in their partnership for security purposes (ties with Executive Outcome). Anytime soon could be a mistake. From the BBC. Also see below the BBC article on SL comments. I invested in Amcan around two years ago and have followed SL and Angola news faithfully the last year and half. I am very interested to see how the dust settles. Not holding my breath at all. Maybe DW has found something in the Northwest Territories but I am not sure they have the cashflow to be exploring their yet.

UNITA rebels in Angola say they've captured two diamond mines in the east of the country, and killed nineteen foreigners guarding them.

In a statement, UNITA said it had taken the Luva mine, in Lunda Sul province, and the Samba mine, south-east of Kapenda Kamulemba, on Sunday.

There's been no independent confirmation, and no comment from the Angolan government.

Both sides use the revenue from diamonds to finance their conflict, and there've been several UNITA attacks on diamond mines over the past few months.

From the newsroom of the BBC World Service

If government and the rebels make peace in SL, what will the current government have to change. The rebels hate Executive Outcome and their associates from what EO did 3 years ago.

I am hoping for peace and all companies get to keep their properties. But I am more concerned with some more than others (companies in SL)
