It's worth a try, LB. I just can't get johnd out of my mind; it was sad watching him talk himself into selling msft before the report and then having to capitulate and buy back 20 points higher.

I'm going to stay long on the core dell (and msft and csco) holdings. I'll trade their options (about 5% of my portfolio) to try and take advantage of momentum swings. That should keep me out of trouble.

Let me know what you are doing. It may help me make decisions about my dell options.

That could be a "major" mistake -- check the chart action for last year and you will see that the stock popped on earnings date and continued for a couple of days.

if you sell your position, you could miss the next move and kick yourself.

look at post 95685. never sell, go with the flow. be carefull, we have all sold and regretted later. write checks off the profits if u can. good luck
