Hi everyone:

I am surprised nobody discussed the Feb. 3 PR regarding the announcement of the CFO, Bennett H. Goldstein. Does anybody realize the significance of this Press Release? For a partner of a national CPA firm like Grant Thornton LLP to give up his hard-earned partnership to take a CFO position at Carnegie International spells volume!!!

If there is any auditor or CPA among our posters and lurkers here, you all know what kind of cut-throat competition it is to earn that partnership in a prestige CPA firm. And once you earned it, you don't just give it up to take a job as a CFO of some unknown company that hasn't even got their listing in the big board yet. A lot of dd must be done and a lot of courage and confidence is required for such huge career change.

I believe that Bennett, as an auditor for CAGI for about 2 years, must have seen enough solid progress in CAGI's business that giving up his partnership at Grant Thornton is well worth it. Remember, as the auditor of CAGI, Bennett has accessed to information that we don't have. Which can be translated to meaning that whatever Bennett knows about CAGI so far, it must be good news. His willingness to abandon ship at Grant Thornton to move over to an unknown company called CAGI is, IMHO, a solid vote of confidence.

I am not an auditor but I know a few friends who are. So, I have some idea of what they are giving up when they jump ship. This is no small matter and they will not even consider jumping ship unless there is something bigger and better than what they already have as a partnership in a big prestige CPA firm.

Guess our CAGI girl is growing up to be quite an attractive woman after all!

Again, the above is my opinion only.

Remember everyone,
To Each His Own

and

Prosperity to ALL!

Company Press Release
Carnegie International Names Bennett H. Goldstein as CFO

"As a partner at Grant Thornton LLP, our auditor since 1997, he's worked closely with Carnegie senior management and is conversant with our accelerated growth and all recent acquisitions and contracts. His background in mergers and acquisitions, in high tech and distribution, and his SEC and taxation experience, made him an ideal choice to bring financial leadership to Carnegie at this most exciting time in our history.

Goldstein had been a partner at Grant Thornton in Baltimore since 1995, and joining the firm in 1993. Previously, he was president and managing director of Ellin and Tucker, Chartered, a large regional accounting and professional services firm in Baltimore from 1971 to 1993."
