R.E.B. is a CPA. When I was with Ernst & Whinny (many years ago) it was common practice for high-ranking CPAs within the firm to take positions withe the companies that they were involved in as a part of auditing. The CPA firm likes this because they will more likely retain the audit business.... the individual likes it because he/she will usually get more money and better perks. Safe to say, that if one is giving up that partnership position, its because they believe there is a REAL future with their new employer.
