It reminded me of chaos theory also and random walk and definitely my EKG on a tense day at the office. The only point was it's there for the reading digesting or deconstructing as one sees fit. NT: Any thought about the much heralded UPC IPO and whether it will make a survivor if not a winner in Euro out of UIHIA? Could this be the ATHM of Euroland or are you aware of a better plan there? good investing, lnk.

If you were truly intelligent, you would figure out how to communicate with your audience. Otherwise, you are just enjoying listening to yourself. Quant study is worthless, every point in time is unique. To denigrate a mass psychological reaction phenomenon to a random future to science, is to short change the liberal thinking creativity "unprocess". Besides, an unhealthy preoccupation with indices will divert you from the true value add of investing-the efficient allocation of capital to the most deserving enterprise. Tim

The only good stock market model is built on quantum states of money flow market dynamics and the Schrodinger-Focker-Planck stochastic diffusion equation relating the states.

Can you give me a good reference to this? I would like to do some reading. Perhaps a book?

Incidentally, what are your recommended top 3 books to read regarding market analysis (excluding Lawrence McMillan's Options as a Strategic Investment which I already have)? I guess you wouldn't have recommended McMillan anyway.

Regarding your last post to me. That all sounds fair. Agreed, ATHM is at top value and is waiting for the next big news that will take it either up or down. Yeah, I hope it is up. I'm not too worried though.
