*** OT *** Thank you for posting those articles on apm, Don. I started on the Sugar Busters regimen last October, and have lost over 20 pounds. To satisfy my need for sweetness, I have been using Equal, which I'm quitting after reading the information you've provided in this and earlier posts. To your knowledge, is there any other sweetener that doesn't have the negative side affects of apm?

I respect your commitment to your ministry,
Frank

Don,
**OT Thanks for the NutraSweet message. I sent it on to my daughter as I have always considered it to be dangerous stuff.

A healthy substitute that my mother always used was a cup of hot water.

Don,

Re:I was wrong, you're not obdurate, just employed, by Monsanto/NutraSweet as are the authorities you cite to defend aspartame [APM] The difference between us: my only interest in APM is humanitarian, an expression of my ministry. Your interest cannot be divorced from your livelihood. I'll demonstrate "humanitarian:"

Absolutely ludicrous and likely delusional.

Best Regards,
Jim

Don:OTOT Re: Apm
Thanks for your discussion. An important subject.
The silicosis of gold miners in the 1800's, the asbestos used in Naval ships and wallboard, arsenic in the Paris-green pesticides, lead paints of the early 1990's,the mercury in the latex paints of the 1970's, the DDT and the egg shell degradation. Tobacco. and now the de-forestation and ozone layer.Smog. Leaded fuels. Formaldehyde in plywood products. Wonder how we lived though all that- wash hands, clean water, whatever.
Who can we trust to evaluate those things ?? You know there is valid scientific evidence 'out there'. And I hope the Web will help
spread the news to the extent that companies producing health threatening products will have to bring those effects out in the open and let people make their own choices.
