It is fairly likely that Buycomp will not honor their price for the monitor and cancel all the orders. I'll be bummed (and they'll lose a loyal customer who would've bought many of the other pieces of my system from them), but if it was a mistake and they provide a good explanation, then there's not much I can do.

I saw a post on the Yahoo board today that argued that 3Dfx is having a lot of trouble getting OEM orders for the V3. The rest of the points the guy made were wrong, but the part about Intel helping S3 is possible. I find it stange that S3 would be able to release some PR on an OEM win and 3Dfx has only said that OEM's are evaluating the boards.

>>85Hz @ 1600??? How! My Hitachi SuperScan Elite 751 does only
>>60Hz at 1600x1200, and it cost over $300 more! ($899 in 01/98) .

I have the 751 monitor and TNT video card, 72Hz @ 1600x1200
and the price is $650 plus or minus over here..

The newer Hitachi monitors kick butt!!!! The depth (dimensions)of their new 21" inch is the same as the 751.. cool, make a low
