The Dataquest report had been repudiated by QCOM when Tero wrote that. He chose to ignore it.

Clark and All... In the flurry of news yesterday no one seems to have noticed the following release, which I found very interesting:

QUALCOMM Signs Agreement to Form Alliance with Matsushita
Electronics Components - Matsushita to Manufacture CRM3000 CDMA Radio Modules - biz.yahoo.com

Looks like Q and Matsushita are teaming up to be able to stick these little modules in just about any kind of appliance or computing/communications device. That is not very far from some of the "outside the box" dreaming some of us were doing a few months back in connection with the creation of WirelessKnowledge and the future applications it might serve. They are calling it a CRM (for CDMA Radio Module) but it seems to me they might as well call it a QWM(TM) for Qualcomm Wireless Modem. For Maurice they might just call it the Q!-Modem. How many laptops were sold last year? Don't they all need a built in Q!-Modem for anytime, anywhere connectivity to the W.Web? IS-95B will be faster than their wired connections anyway. I had to make annoying arrangements to let the power company meter reader on my property last week (dogs, you know). Sure wish they would just pop for a QWM and some cheap sensors - Hey, I'd even split the cost to avoid future hassles. Yep, Maurice has got it exactly right. Q! is sitting smack dab in the middle of the new paradigm W.Web. Rah, Rah, (that's for you Jon).

Personally, I find it hard to believe anyone could doubt that within a few short years Q! will have at least $10 billion in sales and achieve a 10% after-tax margin, or $1 billion net. On 75 million shares that's $13.33 EPS. You pick the multiple. [and that is just the beginning]

Best regards,
Jim
