They did put up a pretty good fight, considering what they were up against.-no g- What if they had bombed out all the tank farms instead of the old battleships, and then sank any tankers coming to replenish the oil?

Ice - A quick, interesting read which stirs a lot of memories. I was a very young kid on December 7 and the quick take of my child's mind was that the Japanese were bound to lose because of the disparity in our respective populations, as mentioned in that site. I recoiled, though, at his saying that Midway was essentially a non-event. I understand his ultimate perspective, but at the time it was a great morale booster for a country with fresh memories of ships burning at Pearl and newsreel shots of the Bataan death march.
