Ice, We indeed live in strange times. My answer to the etrade problem is this. 1. I have already contacted an attorney in Washington, D.C. and he is sending me information about being a party to the class action suit. 2. I have kept very good records of my trades and times. I am reconstructing all conversations and noted times for requests of tapes in event of court. 3. My style of trading will change to a real tick III system with a dual monitor and instinet trading if possible. I am setting up a trading room with two other partners for us to maintain offices for our corporation and a room for strictly trading. 4. I will maintain two dummy accounts with minimum balances for margin in order to trade into in event of another brokerage being unable to complete my trade. 5. No single brokerage will handle all of my business. I intend to shift it around and use Quicken 99 to manage the accounts. 6. I will be very vocal in my opinion about E-trade and their inability to provide services as stated. 7. Education, education, education and then learn some more. I need to know this trading game as well as I know how to physically work if I am going to be good at it. 8. Lucky rabbits foot, four leaf clovers, garlic on the door. If it will help in this crazy market I will do it. Last but not least is to remain calm. Not trade on emotion. As far as the senate and their clandestine operation of our government I think they really think they run the country. What a joke.
