Paul, get the BX6-2 over the BH6. A good combo of features
from both. I waited a week to get it (since I had to wait
a couple of weeks because the BH6 was backordered) and I'm
glad.

All the soft jumperless config of abit, full control of
IRQs to slots.

I'm not real clear on busmastering slots. Manual sucks
in that regard.

PCI slot
1 shares an IRQ with AGP port which there's no way to
change that I can find, so it's not perfect.

Perhaps
other boards from other manufacturers do better. But the
pluses for the BX6-2 versus the BH6 are a no brainer
to my mind. 5 pci 2 isa; 4 dimm slots; support for 256mb
dimms; all the soft config for clock/voltage/etc of the
BH6; all the
temp monitoring; soft boot from all four EIDE disks
(yep, every one, even the secondary IDE controller, and
they really work I can verify).

Mayge ASUS is better. I'm not a great mobo analyst.
But as a choice, no decision.

EDIE: BTW, the reservations folks have expressed here after
coming to grips with BH6 shortcomings reinforce my
reluctance to embrace Anand's reccos without salt grains.

Neat package Paul, am sure you won't be disappointed. With Celerons being discounted Monday, maybe grab one for a spare. Jon (Minotaur) saying the Abits have a history of Parallel ports, check this out before loading everything. Lotsa' trouble to dismantle and ship back later.
