IBM CORP unveiled a new line of line of computer servers that consolidates multiple server models into a smaller, more powerful family. The company said the new line of AS/400e servers with faster processors gives users greater flexibility to handle multiple business application workloads on one server. IBM said the server can at the same time host Internet sites, be used to conduct electronic shopping, search databases, process applications like payroll and perform other tasks.
