Dear CHristine, How are you? How is your work? This is a topic of importance to me. There are no simple solutions as I can reason. The people who follow regulations are usually not the types to misuse a firearm. The type that will misuse them do not seem very concerned about regulations. When my sons and I were attacked I would not have been able to get to a gun if I had one so I do not see they have a strong self defense ability but in my home maybe, that is if my sons are not aware so if I hide it will I find it if there is an emergency? When the trials were happening and we were being harrassed we had something happen that made me think deeper on this problem. We had just come home and I sat at the computer while ALan and the boys went into the living room. Alan came back looking for his gun and went back with it. Our neighbors house had a man in military fatigues like Anderson crawling along side the car their daughter had just pulled into the driveway in. He came up to the back of the car and jumped up. The man said booh and turned out to be dating her and was playing around. What a close call to tragedy. A simple mistake that could cost many troubles. So I am not so sure guns are an advantage, ours is so well hidden I would have to ask them to wait just a minute so I can find it and load it. I do know that governments in history have gained agression when people are unable to defend themselves so I basically have no clue what should be done. If there was a law against guns I think Anderson would not have kept it but I would. I hope you and your family are well and happy, Nancy
