Catcher, I still say to anybody who will listen:

Dell is the finest growth company I have ever seen. With the exception of its use of options as a supplement to salaries, there is not a single thing that Dell does poorly from my perspective as a financial analyst.

It is the paradigm for a successful growth company, and when paradigms shift (as they seem to do every few years in this business) it just means that competitors are once again trying to emulate Dell, but they can't quite figure it out.

Compaq? Too little too late.

GTW? best way to stay in business is to try to carve out a niche where Dell doesn't play.

HWP? don't make me laugh. When is the last time the street was happy with their earnings.

TTFN,
CTC
