Hitchens and Blumenthal are (were) close friends, and I agree with Hitchens on Orwell. Although a Leftist might want to take down Clinton, and Hitchens is no fan of his, to say the least, I was responding to the turning of gears in Tiger Paws head over yet another dread "perjury trap" by the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.

Lest we forget, Hitchens also writes for the Maoist (or is it Trotskyite) "Vanity Fair," so perhaps anything is possible. VLWC, anyone?
