Out of politeness, I have ignored your references to Singapore, since they are so ludicrous, I was embarrassed for you, but since you have taken to beating dead horses with me, I may as well point out once more that it was liberals within the Democratic Party who created the tangle of sexual harassment laws that caught Bill, that Bill himself signed into law the discovery rules that he subsequently flouted, and that the Independent Prosecutor is your Frankenstein Monster, not ours. But once created, it is idle to expect that they will only be wielded by Democrats.
By the way, I wanted to mention that the Clinton- Capone analogy popped into my mind months ago before I heard it used elsewhere because it was obvious as a rejoinder to those who found the grounds of impeachment too trivial to pursue. And it remains obvious. Don't you think most of us would prefer a good impeachment on things like Chinese money being used to buy influence (did anyone say bribery?) in order to get sensitive technology. This is what Bob Barr wanted to impeach Bill on. But you take what you can get, when you have difficulty making the other cases.

Just imagine how much more the Singaporeans could have "squeezed" out of Philip Morris, RJR et al. Boggles my mind! That means that American political blackmailers and lawyers are not up to par with Singapore laws. Pity! Could have "extracted" 50-70 TRILLION out of the tobacco industry and fix the budget deficit and "save" the Social Security into the Fourth Millennium.

It's not too late though: we can send Al "No-Overriding-Legal-Authority" Gore over to learn. Can you imagine? From a few thousands bucks from a Buddhist temple to untold Trillions ...
