I don't know what the future holds in the investigations, Daniel.
I have never claimed that Clinton was so evil, and the Capone analogy, as I tire of repeating, was limited in scope. As for normal judicial standards of proof, "preponderance of evidence" the standard in a civil case. Since this is neither a criminal case nor a civil case, but a unique tribunal, the Senators have the right to decide the standard for themselves. I believe that Clinton is convictable on the higher standard, but I KNOW he is on the less stringent one.
I have never even implied that you were stupid, Daniel, just mistaken.

Daniel, you seem to forget that there are more than one standard your debating opposition uses.

They rise up anyone(LF included) merely threatens to expose the the dark sides of the prosecutors. The other standard is to reveal and broadcast anything, unsubstantiated or unproven, that might be demeaning to the defendant(BC).

You have my support in most of your posts, but no amount of posting , no matter how clever, could turn the cheeks of those who disagree with you.

Tom

Starr is a madman out of control. I think he will prove to be a big millstone around the GOP's neck in the coming months! The following article excerpt is music to my ears <G> [emphasis mine] :

Compounding GOP problems is that independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr
remains a wild card, in the eyes of many strategists. "We can bring
impeachment to a halt, but Ken Starr will continue, and we will still be
screwed,"
a Republican operative said, noting that Starr is overwhelmingly
associated with the Republican Party in the view of the electorate.
