Violent Moves in 3COM I can't seem to understand this company anymore. There are companies that preannounce VERY bad earnings and because of the way they communicate with the financial community, can limit the damage to 3-5% declines. How can a stock go from 48 to 30 with NO NEWS? Even if you are in a quiet period, you could say "We see no change in the fundamentals of the business". That is acceptable. It doesn't say anything about earnings target, but it DOES calm the frenzy. I am simply amazed. Losing money!
