Only chilling about convicted murderers- if you are not a convicted murderer and do not consider yourself likely to become one I don't think my opinions on the death penalty could harm you. If you are a drug user or a shoplifter or some other variety of non-violent criminal I would be very merciful.

I agree the system needs to change. For example we should never accept the word of one felon against another as the sole hard evidence in a capital case. But there are plenty of murderers caught red handed as it were- I'd like to see them executed. And I would like to see more equity. As forensics improves I suspect the error rate in capital cases will improve as well- but I don't know how you equalize for affluence.
