You did say it was unfair, but in the face of the acknowledged flaws of our system, that you would still endorse the execution of innocent people . . .that troubles me. It is a certainty that innocent people have been, and will continue to be, executed. The injustice of STATE sanctioned murder of an innocent exceeds the original offense of the victim's murder at the hands of an individual: when an individual kills an innocent, it is a lone act of evil, but when THE STATE kills an innocent, WE are all party to it.
