Around 6 months ago a major business magazine labeled the board of directors of AMD among the 5 worst in the country. Since that time, the board may have moved to the top of that list.

<Good point. If K7 is going to become AMD's mainstream CPU, they better have a lower cost solution for it on the desktop.> Is AMD transitioning the K6-3 to 0.18 micron? I heard that Dresden is going to manufacture copper-based 0.18 micron K7 from the start. If not, then I fail to see how a K7 can compete against a Celeron in the low-end if the K7 is going to be crazy expensive to make compared to Celeron. (Please, guys, no more "die size is directly proportional to the entire cost" argument again.) Tenchusatsu
