Try AB Watley or MBTrading or CyberBroker or one of the others on this list.

I can tolerate Datek for position trading, but for what you are doing, it makes no sense at all.

it takes an average of 3 minutes for me to get the Daily Activities page to come up

Would you clarify? Do you mean it takes 3 minutes to refresh the Daily Activity page each time or 3 minutes for your trade to appear on the DA page after several refreshes?

If the former, which server(s) do you find this on?

TIA

Hi, Drake

What a long post, indeed! I think you are at the point where one has to wonder what is worse, the inherent risks of short-term position trading, or the obvious risks (that you describe in detail) associated with daytrading and the problems that all online brokers seem to have.....i.e., slow executions and/or confirmations.

I am beginning to wonder where lies the least risk, and I don't have an answer yet. But, the online broker (if there is one) who can provide consistently faster execution and confirmation should do quite well. Reliability is the greatest risk we now face, IMHO.

One could easily argue that the dumbest trader with the best broker has an advantage over the best trader with the worst broker. So, what about a reasonably good trader with a very good broker? Something to think about.
