This was a rather interesting week. My general feeling was that when the group was totaled up for the week, the result would be a loss. Although only 17 stocks were up, 2 were the same, and 22 were down, the group sum was up 1 percent while the SOX-X was up 2 percent. There were 5 stocks with a gain of 10 percent or more. Two of those stocks were AMAT and KLAC. It's true that 4 stocks were down 10 percent or more, but the dollar amounts of these stocks were all very low compared to the ones at the top of the table.
