I got a long call on ABTE.

I shorted last Thursday, and on Friday got a call from a DMG broker. He claimed ABTE had gotten new financing and the convertible had been replaced. I forgot the name of the supposed new lender, but he claimed the news would come out on Monday.

Obviously he was wrong, but that is what has been floating around.

Bill,
FTR posted their quarterly numbers.

Sounds like 1999 should be a promising year.
Later,

Bill,

Given how desperate ABTE situation is, why is Virginia even letting them bid on a contract, much less give them preliminary approval? Is something not above board here?

Actually, it would be better if they were to win it, as this would drain cash even faster.

Bill,

ABTE looks terrible. It's toast.

Thanks for bringing TAVA back into my watch list. I didn't see the runup, wish I had gotten in higher, but any price over 5 is a gift. Thanks for rewrapping it for me.

Finally got some additional shares of ABTE.

Anyone know the real story behind the 10K delay and "negotiating" with Arthur Anderson on certain non-recurring adjustments ?

Something smells really bad here...
