Some interesting post-impeachment analysis cited in tonight's Drudge Report, especially by Safire, who addresses the notion that in order to impeach a president, you better represent a strong majority of the voters. He writes:

"Removal of a president in the absence of public outrage would be a Draconian
mistake."

This is much, much more than a mere legal/constitutional question. That's one of the things that the Republicans "don't get."

If this was true, Monica wouldn't have been a hostile witness for the Republicans.

I believe that the true vehicle against Clinton was the Paula Jones case, of course. Hopefully, the plot to get Clinton thru the Jones case will be fully investigated.
