Gary,

I have heard nothing but good things about Yamner for a long time. If you like trading on the phone, Yamner is for you IMO. sorry you had a bad experience with Fido(I have no connection with Fido or Yamner BTW).

>>You think you had a bad day? How many people here have been fired by their broker? Well, today I was.<<

Actually yesterday I was. For some strange reason I could not enter a sell order on my LCOS @ 94 or so in the early morning, Ended up shorting the thing at 77, which was not what I wanted to do. What a day for them to be down! But 30 minutes into the day I found out what the problem was with RT3. So now I can say I have lost money with every damn broker I have ever used.

I was recently "fired" by my broker (Olde Discount) too under similar circumstances.

Gary:
Gary smith, tech analyst at thestreet.com, sings the praises of Yamner.

i have spoken with them about an account, and have been nothing but impressed from steve goldman, on down...straightforward, no BS, discussion of what is and isn't possible.

personally, im opening an account with abwatley, as i still prefer hands on trading

(i have no affiliation with either brokerage)
