Myron, I trade the contracts. Each contract represents a complete basket of SP stocks valued at $250K so the contract moves in accordance with the underlying cash value of those stocks. Margin requirements may vary with different brokers, so you might actually talk with a commodities broker about the kind and size of account you would need. Like gunfighters of the old west, there are only two kinds of SP traders, the quick and the dead. So you really need to watch and practice for a while before you step into the ring with the sharks on the floor, I mean that in a kindly way..... My Best. GZ
