based on valid information

Depends on what you mean by valid information. Suggest you go to the web site, and look at some past press releases, particularly those of about a year to 18 months ago predicting many things, including full reporting status by Q2 98 (so far almost a year late and counting), release of financial statements (released a few figures, but no income or expenditure figures, and only four lines of balance sheet numbers. Two press releases in particular: 12/7/97 and 12/17/98. P.S.: the company is still not full reporting.

Company has been asked numerous times to provide financial information, and has consistently refused. The claim to have audited 1997 (FY and calendar year) numbers, but refuse to release them.

There is a lot of "information" provided on this thread by people who say they get it directly from management. I appreciate the postings, but I am concerned when management won't publicly confirm or deny what much of what is posted. For example, posters claim here that the company will be fully reporting by Q2 99 (a year behind their announced schedule), but the company has never corrected or updated their 12/7/97 press release and has never itself announced publicly when they will become full reporting.

So, is there "valid information" available? Well, if you consider "I talked today with MS (Michael Shepard, the CEO) today and he said..." to be "valid information," there's lots of it available here.

OTOH, if you consider (as I do) valid information to consist of an AP or Reuters or equivalent story that says "FNTN today released its financial results for the quarter ending ..." you won't find it.

As is natural for a stock of this kind, there have from time to time been various charges that the stock price is being manipulated, that it is a "pump and dump" stock, etc. I make no such charges myself, and I certainly have no proof or evidence that this is the case. But if you are inclined to take such charges made on a talk thread seriously, just be advised that they have been made about this stock.

Is any of this to say that the company isn't a good investment? Not at all. Some people have made money here, some have lost money here, a lot claim to be "long and strong" on the stock. Nearly 50 years ago my mother told me "you can hear anything you've a mind to." Totally true here.

Welcome to the thread. I hope you will post your thinking and share the results of your DD here as you look at the stock.
