I have heard that Motorola has had a lot of problems ever since it took over the prime responsibility for Teledesic. Apparently, the merging of Iridium and Teledesic hasn't gone as smoothly as planned.

BA is looking to increase their responsibility on this project immensely. Remember that they were the original prime contractor.

I don't know if a larger equity stake is in order or not.

Here's a thought on acquisitions. How about buying Hughes Electronics (GMH) - especially their satellite business? Leader in commercial satellites. Believe GM still trying to sell the division.

Hughes was a money maker. At least when C. Micheal Armstrong (now of AT&T) ran it.
