Hey, I've got an idea...Let's talk about religion next!!!! :-)

My answer to your question is this: There is no reason. If you constrict yourself to voting along party lines rather than voting for individuals that align with your beliefs it further enables the partisan politicking.

I like the idea of hobbling the government and therefore to disrupt the power bases, I like the vote against the incumbent tactic.

HiTech, I have been on public bulletin boards for almost ten years, as well as having my own subjects and writing thousands of notes. In all of that time, I have hardly EVER seen a subject where the discussion did not stray off course, oftentimes unlike this thread, RADICALLY. So consider yourself lucky. <G> Yogi
