Rich, AV was a little harsh in his reaction to MTSN conference call lack of questions. The information presented in the conference call was quite thorough re BTB, Geographic strengths, product strengths, individual companies being penetrated, etc. Given the other conference calls, much is already known about the health of the sector. Not much new was going to be learned by asking a bunch of questions. So why waste everybody's time. Especially when the DLJ analyst can just pick up the phone and get much more revealing info than if he asked the same questions in a public forum. But each of us is entitled to our own reaction to the event. When I looked at consensus ratings this morning, it appears that there may only be one analyst still covering MTSN - DLJ; and DLJ upgraded from hold to buy. No questions asked. Need they say more? ;-)
