The Teletubbies originated in England, home of the original (and still the best) deliberate sexual innuendo in a children's TV program. For many years, the BBC put out a program called Captain Pugwash. It featured puppet like characters who sailed the seven seas in search of adventure. The main characters (apart from the Jolly Captain) were: Seaman Stains Master Bates and, Roger the Cabin Boy. The program was pulled when someone innocently pointed out the double entendre of the names of these Children's favorites. Meanwhile, old dogs had been LOL for years! Basildon Bond
