Should I also mention Ruby Ridge? Richard, Great!! Why don't you start a petition to disband your local police force, all Federal and State law enforcement agencies, and every branch of the US military. See how many of your fellow citizens decide to sign it. Better yet, while you still have your "freedoms", why don't you exercise one of them and head for a country where people think like yourself. Your statement basically argues that because some @ssholes with badges got so drunk with their own power that they abused their responsibilities to preserve civil rights, that each and every guy with a badge or wearing a uniform is just as guilty of such abuses. Maybe you should think a little more before you decide to argue to the particular with regard to Ruby Ridge or Waco. There are a lot of people like myself out there who are smart enough to separate abuse of power in a particular case from a systemic abuse of power pervading out society.
