X-Ray...

First "my word" said that if thread participants such as yourself continued to post me, I would respond to their posts as I am doing so now.

Now regarding your statement...

"...giving the Chinese immense quantities of dollars to spend on the internet, and a desperate need to solve the Y2K problem and protect their financial advantage..."

I have to take serious issue with this assertion for unlike in America where anyone can mouth off at will and gather as much or as little information as they so desire, Internet communication and access provides a major challenge to the power structure and authority of what in many ways is still a very repressive regime in China by opening access to more and uncontrolled sources of information.

This problem is also effecting access in many other countries like Burma, for example, where authority is maintained by limiting discourse.

Regarding the y2k program...Yongzhi admittingly only tested one program...this company's [GTCI] program. Remembering that most new systems installed after 1997 don't require a "fix"....also note that this purported program has to be rebooted 9 times per Yongzhi's review...which is a serious liability and disadvantage to its competitors...

Now what frame of reference does Yongzhi have for accessing this program? None, if he only tested one.

What is the real unhyped market for this "fix"? Does anyone know the percentage of new pentium systems to old 386, 486 systems in China?
Remember only the old Wintel systems require the fix....and Many companies and countries are now simply buying upgrading systems especially now that many $1000 and under systems have come on the market....Finally MAC systems don't have a y2k problem....

From my reading of this thread NO ONE has asked these questions or even noted the exaggerations contained in the "wall street research group's" paid for news letter report which had vague disclosure regarding terms of compensation for the paid release..

Now regarding "venom"...I think you should re-read many of the posts directed toward me and than honestly ask who is really being malicious and vituperative. If you are being honest, you will clearly see that the venom is directed more toward me ...than coming from me.

Now again if you don't want me to post ....do not respond to my posts...I and not tracking this thread, I am only responding to the mail I receive in my "in folder".

Sincerely,

z
