And since we are incubating more candidates for higher office at the state level, the odds favor us in the future, all other things being equal. The fact that you conservatives are so blind to the anger of your former constituency is just one more reason not to vote for you. Its just like when I asked Zoltan yesterday about Peter Kings allegations that Delay tried to bully him out of his "not guilty" vote. Zoltan replies that King is a liar (because Clinton is a liar). Thats just not believable, guys. Conservatives could win here if they have the nerve to stand up and say, "Hyde is senile and he overreached - Barr does not represent the new conservatives - we are going to drop our religious agenda now because its gone too far" ,etc. Of course, it takes courage to do that.... and they dont have it. And this lack of courage that you see in people like Tom Campbell will also be evident in their negotiations on Social Security reform.... these people are not leaders.
