jg,

I live in London and can call the U.S. for around $0.12/min. Not bad. However, I don't know that other European countries offer such deals. I think this new card will be in demand for travellers more than residents, in the long run. However globally it's a buy.

BTW, I signed up to Net2Phone and it sucks from here to the U.S. That's with trying on 3 seperate ISPs. With a peak local call at about 3p/min ($0.05/min) plus Net2Phone's charge, I might as well use my discount long distance provider anyway. I'm not sold on the service until I'm not at the mercy of my Internet connection. I have discovered that internationally the backbone link between countries is crucial. Hence my 3 ISPs; each with a different link to the U.S. I do not have ISDN or ADSL.

Cheers,
Bond

While I don't think this is a new concept (debitalk), it shows that this company is ready to meet the latest technology challenges and take advantage of all marketing angles. They are not a stale tele. company. They will continue to add the services that pay the higher margins.

The day could be coming when telephone service itself costs nothing. Companies would make their profits from the add-ons (like call waiting, caller-ID, etc.). This company has shown me that they understand this and are proactively meeting tomorrow's challenges today.
